On 16th October, Pilamec welcomed representatives from its largest customer for a factory tour and supplier audit. The visit included discussions on new business opportunities and processing developments, all of which were positively received.
Evening Hospitality and Quiz Victory
In the evening, Pilamec extended its hospitality by inviting the visitors to the Two Rivers Hotel in Chepstow. Coincidentally, a quiz night was taking place at the hotel. Pilamec’s team, aptly named “The Silicon 6,” comprised Rob, his partner Rowena, Simon, Stephen, and two senior team members from the visiting customer. Demonstrating teamwork and knowledge, “The Silicon 6” emerged victorious, winning a prize of £70.
Charitable Donation
In a generous gesture, the team decided to donate their prize money to charity. Given Rowena’s association with cold swimming and support for swimming for the disabled, the funds were contributed to a GoFundMe campaign aimed at raising money for a floating wheelchair. This act reflects Pilamec’s commitment to community support and charitable causes.
